Behind the Scenes

Believe it or not, crafting our charcuterie boards is the easy part. The work we put in before we design our boards is what truly sets us apart; we are dedicated to giving you a product that meets your expectations and ours. To understand more about our process and values, keep reading below.

Our Quality Promise

At Salty Sisters, we take immense pride in the artisanal approach we bring to the creation of our boards. Before beginning the design process, we select the highest quality meats and cheeses and slice them all by hand. This method ensures precision cutting, allowing us to craft visually stunning boards. We take the same meticulous care when preparing our fruits and vegetables by cleaning and soaking them with a gentle mixture of baking soda and water. This not only guarantees their freshness but also ensures that any impurities are thoroughly removed, making them not only delicious but also safe.

We're happy to share that we have successfully passed the Idaho Food Safety Exams, which reaffirm our commitment to adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. The benefits of these methods are twofold: they result in a superior tasting experience, and they underline our unwavering commitment to quality, health, and providing a personalized touch to every charcuterie creation we present to our customers.

Locally Sourced

It was a no-brainer for us to shop local, as much as we can, when creating our boards. From start to finish, we have outsourced local businesses to help build our vision. Over the summer, the farmer’s markets around the valley have allowed us to hand-pick our ingredients. As we move into colder weather, we hope to partner with past vendors to continue our promise to source as many ingredients locally as possible.

We are proud to have used cheeses from Evan’s Farmstead, breads from Hillside Grain, pickled veggies from Itty Bitty Farms, edible flowers from Shelly and Mike’s Florals, baked goods from Hank & Sylvie’s, and produce from Kings Crown Organics.
